A Merry House!

December 24

Christmas Eve could not have been nicer! I returned home from Dublin to find that I had a nearly completed house!

Steve and crew worked over-time before the holidays to get the house in shape. Bathroom tile is done, kitchen tile is done, and all of the appliances have been installed. The power has been turned on and the water is working. The floors have been polished and much of my furniture has been moved into appropriate rooms. My boxes are now in the garage, arranged so that I can open them.

So much work has been accomplished in such a short time–I am amazed!

There are a few outstanding details (the sconces and pendant lights still need to be installed, the washer and dryer are waiting to be hooked up, and the dirt pile in the backyard yearns to fill up the water tank hole), but the house is almost DONE. This is indeed a merry house and I’m pretty merry myself. 🙂

Happy Holidays to you and all the best in the New Year!

  1. OMG!!! It is more amazing than the last time I was there. I couldn’t wait to see the kitchen and bathroom tile work completed. Love the mirrors too. So beautiful, worth waiting for! Kenda
