December 15
I will be visiting the Land of the Leprechauns, as someone near and dear to me calls it, over the next few days, so this will be my last posting until I return from Ireland. When I return, I hope to return to a finished house! We shall see.
“Le gach dea ghui” is Gaelic for “With all good wishes” or “Best Wishes.” I’ll be back before the holidays though, so this is just to tide you over.
In the meantime, here’s what’s happening at the house!
technical
- The first stage of Antique Mesquite
- This will get more distressed and more colors added, too
- All exterior-facing doors will be Antique Mesquite eventually
- This is a start!
- Screen doors, too
- These are going to be gorgeous when they are done!
- Someday, a stove
- Progress with the butt-warmers
- Mirror! The small tiles will be replaced with blue birds…
- Very cool
- Shower curtain rod has magically appeared
- Momentarily distracted by door wood…
- Cable!!
- Someone has a sense of humor…
- The Dark Sky Shower is almost complete!
- Bella notices the part that is not quite done yet…
- This mirror will get 2X2 suns and moons tiles.
- Waiting for more grout
- Coyote tiles will be placed in this mirror.
- Early stages for this butt warmer…
- And here is another one hiding behind the door!
- Low profile toilets–good for low water usage
- Suns and moons everywhere
- Dark Sky Bathroom is very special
- Another successful fire in the Living Room Kiva
- The fridge is hiding
- It goes on the right…
- I love the workmanship on these kitchen cabinets!
- And the bi-fold door is gorgeous, too
- Cable in my office–Internet access is cool!
- Arnold is checking throughout the house for areas lacking trim.
- The Wood-Working Garage
- Garage door is looking very spiffy
- My outside door in its first stages…
- I rather like this stage but more is going to happen.
- Antique Mesquite has a greenish and a gold color to it…
- You will see the final product soon.
personal
- So hardy! You would never guess two BIG ice storms have occurred recently…
- Many sotols are still standing. Good for them!
- A bird tree
- Why I am here.
