October 28
Monday finds us (me, Bella, and Niles) back up on the mountain to see how things are progressing. I am a bit tired from the weekend hiking, but Bella and Niles are raring to go–and very clean and pretty, too!
There are so many activities going on now. Lots of stuff inside and outside. Everywhere I look, something is happening.
And no hike today because my toes have had it!
- Just a bit of gray still showing…
- The stucco texture is like velvet and the color is almost caramel…
- Plastic and scaffolding are going down!
- The West End of the house is done.
- While the backyard is still a work in progress…
- Chimney stucco is happening!
- It is quite a busy thoroughfare here!
- I love the shadows, the lines, the depth…
- The rustic wood makes such a lovely counterpoint–Pueblo Revival at its best.
- Inside, the West End Master Suite bathroom cabinet is being roughed in.
- The closets are done
- Guest Bathroom cabinet is being roughed in.
- Meanwhile, the appliances have decided they want to be in the Sitting Room.
- The Kitchen Bi-Fold Door is up!
- This bath tub is here to stay now.
- My closet and door to my patio are complete.
- Door to garage is up.
- Washer and dryer are close to their final installation places…
- Door to Laundry Room and Pantry is up.
- Check out this clean garage!
- East End tankless water heater is installed and ready to go.
- Steve has begun digging the trench for the electrical.
- Hose bibs. A new term for me.
- Bella is fascinated by the big hole for the water tanks.
- Chimney is done.
- Once the trench is filled, the flagstone patio and some short adobe walls will begin.
- Look at all the rock they dug up!
- All of these lines must be tested before the trench can be closed.
- A flagstone walkway is planned for the front of the house.
- And here is the West End tankless water heater. There will always be hot water…
