The furrows get bolstered up with wood now. The wood pieces are called “forms” and they form the exterior walls of the house for the foundation. So far, the garage and the front of the house have been “formed.”
What we are working towards is pouring concrete into the forms to create the footings, stem walls, and floor slab with a “monolithic pour.” This will happen later.
It is great to see the wood being added to the dirt “rooms.” I begin to get a sense of the scope of each room and can visualize the size and shape of each area better. These pictures were taken the Monday of Thanksgiving Week and you can see the clouds in the “Martini Shots,” which make the sky even more dramatic than usual!
